Young Living Supplements Brianna Hart, September 2, 2021December 4, 2023 When I first heard about Young Living I had no idea that they even had supplements. I foolishly assumed that they were only essential oils. I love oils and think that they have a ton of benefits but I also think that supplements are important. I’ve been using supplements for years too. I remember as a kid my parents giving us vitamin C and zinc if we were getting sick. The issue I’ve had in my adult life is the quality of supplements. The market is filled with supplements that are absolutely useless because of the way they are made. Young Living supplements are both high quality and extremely helpful for many different health issues. Why Does Quality Matter? In a day and age when everyone turns to Amazon for everything it’s natural that supplements would also be an issue. Amazon is filled with supplements that have crappy ingredients and are filled with things that won’t make a difference in your life. Supplements aren’t regulated like other medications either so it is so easy to fall into a trap of buying something that you think is good but it’s not. If the health industry isn’t going to watch out for you then you need to watch out for you. If the product’s label doesn’t have a food source listed for that particular supplement that means it is synthetic. Your label shouldn’t just say vitamin C. For example, on the Young Living Super C bottle the ingredients are listed as: “Proprietary Super C Blend: Citrus bioflavonoids, Rutin (Sophora japonica L) flower bud powder, Cayenne (Capsicum annuum) fruit powder, Orange (Citrus sinensis)† peel oil, Tangerine (Citrus reticulata)† rind oil, Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi)† peel oil, Lemon (Citrus limon)† peel oil, Lemongrass (Cymbopogon flexuosus)† leaf oil.” These are all whole food sources. If you grab a bottle of vitamin C and it says “vitamin C” the odds are it is a synthetic version. Your body needs the whole version for it to be absorbed and be effective.Synthetic KeywordsThere are a few key things that you can look for to identify synthetics on an ingredient list. For example, if something has a dl before the ingredient list is a synthetic version. Words that end in “ide” or “ate” also tend to signify that the ingredient is synthetic. A lot of times these will be salts that are added, again, as synthetic ingredients. The Young Living vitamin D ingredients list shows the following: “Organic lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) extract, Vitamin D3 lichen extract, Melissa (Melissa officinalis) plant oil, lime (Citrus aurantifolia) peel oil.” With this, it’s easy to tell that there are no extra salts or synthetic ingredients.Common Synthetics I was able to also find a list of common synthetic vitamins that you should look for as well:Vitamin A: Acetate and PalmitatePABA (Para-aminobenzoic Acid): Aminobenzoic AcidVitamin B1 (Thiamine): Thiamine Mononitrate, Thiamine HydrochlorideVitamin B2 (Riboflavin): RiboflavinPantothenic Acid: Calcium D-PantothenateVitamin B6 (Pyridoxine): Pyridoxine HydrochlorideVitamin B12: CobalaminFolic Acid: Pteroylglutamic AcidCholine: Choline Chloride, Choline BitartrateVitamin C (Ascorbic Acid): Ascorbic AcidVitamin D: Irradiated Ergosteral, CalciferolBiotin: d-BiotinVitamin E: dl-alpha tocopherol, dl-alpha tocopherol acetate or succinateIf you have any of these in your cupboards they are most likely synthetic and not helping you whatsoever. If you’ve ever wondered why a supplement isn’t working for you or you’ve doubted their efficacy it is also most likely the quality of the ingredients. Why Young Living?I love that Young Living is so transparent. All of their ingredients are shown and listed right on their website. You can see what is in the supplements before even buying them. I will also admit that I was skeptical before trying them. To be fair, I was also skeptical about their oils too and made them prove themselves. I haven’t been using Young Living products for that long so I can’t give you a comprehensive review of all of the supplements, unfortunately. I will review the ones that I’ve tried so far though and let you know why I’m loving them. NingxiaI’m not entirely sure that this falls under supplements or if it should just be on it’s own category. Either way, I think that this stuff has been one of the best things that I started from YL. This was something I was super skeptical of but it proved itself right away. I was having an issue where I was getting extremely tired in the afternoon. Tired to the point that I thought I was going to fall asleep working. Thankfully, I was working from home because I remember thinking if I was in the office people would be questioning my work ethic with how slow my eyes were. It was still embarrassing for me. What kind of person couldn’t even make it through the day? I felt like I was sleeping well at night and I knew that I was getting enough hours so that wasn’t the issue. There was just something that was up. I started taking Ningxia in the mornings and noticed that it was helpful but not helping me kick the afternoon snoozes. Then I started taking it at lunchtime and it was a total gamechanger! Instead of feeling like I had to get as much done in the morning as possible I was able to spread it into the afternoon. I was even able to do some of my best work in the afternoons. Plus, somehow, it felt like I was sleeping even better than before. There is probably some combination effect. Better sleep plus more nutrients for my body to function properly. I swear by it now and promise you it is worth the cost. Life 9The other thing that I’ve always struggled with is my digestion. For years and years now I’ve struggled with digestion. I can’t hit a happy medium without living on medication. After months of trying I decided that it wasn’t worth it for me to do that and quit them. Even after several doctors visits none of them had a solution except to take lots of laxatives and stool softeners. I tried many different probiotics to try to help the cause. I tried the cheap ones, the liquid ones, the refrigerated ones, etc. The Life 9 is the best I’ve tried so far. Again, I think the Ningxia helped with this as well for a combined effort. The Ningxia gives an overall wellness that helps my body be able to support other processes. When I added the Life 9 my digestion improved tremendously. For a little bit of TMI I use to plug our toilet daily. DAILY. Now it’s been months since I’ve plugged it. That is a tried and true testimony, folks. Super BThe Super B is something that I added to also assist with my energy. I used the Ningxia by itself first though, so the testimony still stands! Then I added in the Super B and started feeling better than I’ve felt in years. I finally felt like I had the energy to make it through the day again. 2020 zapped so much of our energy. I know that I got caught up in all of the politics and intense feelings surrounding the year. For the first time in over a year the Super B has me feeling like I am at a pre-2020 energy level. What Young Living supplements are your favorite? Are there any other “must haves” that make your list? I’m sure I will have more coming after I get to experience the many valuable supplements that Young Living has to offer, but for now these are the ones I recommend most!Share Product Review healthy livingNon-Toxicnontoxictoxin free
