1/3cup OilUse the oil of your choice. We use avocado or olive.
1/4cupSugar
1Egg
1tspSalt
3-3.5cupsFlour
Instructions
Mix yeast and water.
Allow to sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
Add the remaining ingredients and mix to form a soft dough.
Turn the dough out onto a floured surface or a silicone mat.
Divide into 12 pieces.
Roll into balls then press down into a bun shape.
Place 3 inches apart on a greased baking sheet.
Cover buns and allow them to rest while the oven is preheating.
Preheat oven to 425.
Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
If you want a good shiny tip for your buns you can brush them with butter or an egg wash before baking. You can also sprinkle with sesame seeds if that is more your style.
