Like You Love Me Brianna Hart, May 31, 2024May 30, 2024 There were some inconsistencies in this one but I found myself really enjoying it. I usually get frustrated when two people fall in love so quickly but the author did a good job with this one. I like how the relationship progressed and how they each had to really find what they wanted in life. 🌀SynopsisSophie and Holden have known each other since they were kids. Holden used to spend the summers with his grandpa and they used it as a time to be together and build a friendship. Holden always left at the end of the summer though and each went on their separate ways and, eventually, into their separate adult lives. For Sophie, that meant a barely surviving inn because her ex-husband ran off with her money. For Holden that meant a prestigious career and fiancé, except he recently lost both of those. Now Holden is trying to recover by getting his dream job. When he steps in to fill in for his grandpa while he’s on vacation he returns to his summer home. When Sophie and Holden run into each other again their friendship picks up fairly easily. There ends up being a hint of attraction there, too. When Holden’s potential employer expresses that his interest in Holden is because he’s a family man, he panics. He convinces Sophie to help him pull off a marriage by actually getting married. In return he promises to save her inn. When the faking it isn’t so fake, the two of them have to decide if what they are chasing is the right thing. In Summary: Like You Love MeMy first Adriana Locke and I don’t think it’ll be the last one either. It was light and the romance was cute, two things that I really enjoy. I think I’d get sick of them if I read a bunch all at once. However, it’s worth throwing one into rotation to read more of. I think Sweet Spot looks like the next one I want to read!
