It’s a breath of fresh air to be out of the romance world sometimes but this lets me just dip a toe out of it. They aren’t too gruesome either which I really appreciate. This one has two romances which just makes it all the better in my opinion. Such a wonderful ending. 🌀Synopsis Berry has a stalker that has driven her out of her own home in the city. After a series of bad decisions, Berry takes up residence at her mother’s lake house. Things are going well until her stalker follows her there and attempts to kill her. Thankfully he doesn’t succeed and her mother, Caroline, calls in reinforcements to help them track the stalker down. She doesn’t call in just anyone though, it happens to be Berry’s biological father who she has never met before this. Dodge isn’t even sure why he answered Caroline’s call, let alone why he hopped on a plane to help the daughter he never met. Over the course of the manhunt the past and present meet. They continue working with law enforcement and find her stalker has wandered into the woods and killed himself. Dodge has a niggling suspicion something still isn’t right and now that Berry and Caroline know the truth about how he feels, he’s not going to let them down. In Summary: Tough CustomerI gave this one 4 stars, which is pretty typical for my reviews of Sandra Brown books. In my opinion, they’re all pretty similar so I don’t recommend reading them one after another or you will likely burn out. Ask me how I know!
