5 Gifts For Homesteading Men Brianna Hart, November 16, 2023December 4, 2023 The past three years have changed how I am looking at brands. This is also changing what I recommend and what we are bringing into our home. The old homesteader gift guide for men was written before I had such strong feelings. AKA before 2020 when the entire world showed their true colors. As time goes on, more and more companies join the list of companies I won’t support. Don’t get me wrong, we aren’t throwing out all of our old stuff but I just don’t want to purchase from these companies moving forward if I don’t have to. Instead of redoing the old list I decided to come up with a quick list of 5 gifts for homesteading men.Milwaukee ToolsThis will be the brand I stand behind for now. They haven’t taken any political stances, thank goodness! On top of that, we’ve had good experience with their products for many years now. That’s saying a lot because we’ve tried a lot of brands too! These tend to be more expensive which makes them a great gift. Plus, there are just so many options that you can just keep giving more and more for years. Add in all the batteries and you won’t even need the remaining 5 gifts for homesteading men.Tools We Recommend:Leaf Blower Sawazall Inflator Drill- there are many sizes available too! Ratchet Multi-ToolAs a little bonus here Milwaukee also makes several other everyday items too. They have heated jackets, heated gloves, hats, and tumblers to name a few. My dad is obsessed with his heated jacket. It’s perfect for chilly football games! They also have their pack out gear which is a great way to store it all- either in soft bags or in hard shell cases. These are super helpful to be able to take your tools with you, which my husband and dad do often to go to the junkyard for parts or when buying something so you can take it apart before loading.BootsA good pair or two of boots will get guys pretty far. Depending on the climate that you live in you may need a couple pairs. For us here in Michigan, we have a summer and winter pair of chore boots. The summer pair are more like rain boots but the winter needs to be insulated for chores. Plus, work boots and dress boots too. If your husband already has a few pairs make sure to check them for wear before checking this one off. My husband’s summer boots had a hole for months that leaked in water and sometimes mud.Food SmokerA smoker is a gift that gives to the whole family. They’ve been around forever but are definitely gaining in popularity. They are so handy that some of them include a grill and some have features like bluetooth too. This has made them much more desirable and easy to use. Be careful about leaving them out in the weather though, they are known to have electrical issues if they get snowed on while plugged in. This is definitely a big ticket item but it’s one you don’t want to skimp on.Legendary Whitetails FlannelsThere are a lot of flannels out there but I’m specifically recommending these ones for the five gifts for homesteading men. These flannels are so sharp! They look good and are great quality. There are many options for colors and sizes too. The other thing I like about these flannels is the price point! They are a great gift that is still budget friendly. I’m serious, these are so comfy! They are a nice thick fabric that has me stealing them from my husband.Radio EarmuffsIf you aren’t standing on your porch waving your arms like an idiot trying to get your husband’s attention while he’s mowing, these ear muffs are for you. My husband loves being able to listen to things while he’s working without having to worry about carrying or dropping his phone somewhere. They work great on mowers or while using a chainsaw. So good, in fact, that I need to practically tap him on the shoulder to be able to get his attention. This is another budget friendly option too!BONUS: Special CoffeeOur five gifts for homesteading men isn’t complete without a bonus (just like my women’s guide). The bonus for this year is special coffee. This was one of the gifts that we got last year and we absolutely loved it. The gifter paired it with a couple of yeti mugs and it was just the perfect gift. We love plain coffee but once a week we like to make something a little bit different. We may be a little bit biased in our favorite as it’s from Northern Michigan but they’ve got some really awesome stuff. Highly recommend the Mackinaw Island Fudge and the Christmas blend from Superior Coffee Roasting Company. In Summary: 5 Gifts for Homesteading MenThe best thing about this gift guide is that it can be on the expensive side or the cheaper side. Everyone is realizing just how much our bills are right now and just how expensive everything is! If I had an idea of what people were putting out for black friday I’d make a list about what to buy based on that. I know it can be hard to afford Christmas gifts but hopefully this list will give you an idea that fits within whatever it is that you have to spend this year.
