Especially when it come to holidays? We have a lot of Christmas traditions like snowballs, jello, and m&m pretzels. When it comes to other holidays, like Easter, we don’t have traditions and it makes it a little harder to plan. I constantly find myself looking for different things to make. The other issue is when we find a recipe we like, we tend to make it so many times that we’ll get worn out on it. It won’t be made again for years and then we’ll remember, once again, how much we like it! This grape salad is one of those recipes and I’m so happy to be able to resurrect it for Resurrection Sunday. Ingredients1 lb grapes 8 oz sour cream 8 oz cream cheese 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp vanilla honey roasted peanuts (1-2 cups crushed)DirectionsWash your grapes. We use a big collapsible strainer (to save space) but I trust that you know how to wash them. Set them aside.Mix sour cream, cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla. Coat the grapes in the cream cheese mixture. Pour grapes into a large casserole dish or a 9×13 pan. Crush your peanuts. We like to use the Ninja food processor. Sprinkle the honey roasted peanuts over the top of the grape mixture. You can go heavy or light on these based on your preferences. We prefer to a lot of them because they are delicious. There are no tips & tricks with this one. It is just as simple as that. In Summary: Grape SaladThere is another grape salad recipe going around that I believe originated from Chik-fil-a. The ingredients are very similar but it is topped with pecans. Now, I do love pecans and I feel like they add a certain element. However, I much prefer our recipe with the honey roasted peanuts. This is one time when I want to add some sweet to a recipe and I actually really love it. Most of our recipes strive for healthy but this is a recipe that we enjoy so sporadically that I don’t feel like I have to make it healthy in any way. What are your Easter traditions?
