Easter Gift Ideas 1 & Under Brianna Hart, March 12, 2024March 12, 2024 I’ve always prided myself on being a good gift giver. That’s why I created my homestead gift guides for men and women! I have so many ideas that I like to share them with others. However, when it came to having a baby I started to struggle with gifts. Honestly, I struggle the most because she doesn’t need more toys. At only 7 months old she has plenty of toys to keep her more than occupied for now. The best part of Easter, though, is that it’s the cusp of spring and with spring comes a whole new opportunity. It means we finally get to go outside! Easter is the perfect opportunity to get your baby some things to do outside! That finally sparked some inspiration for this list of Easter gift ideas 1 & under age group. Outdoor Toy Box Alright, let’s kick this list of easter gift ideas for 1 & under off with a big gift! This is a wonderful idea because no matter what age they are they will have outdoor toys at some point. We love this idea because a lot of the toys to follow will have a home for the spring and summer season. Textured BallsThese textured balls are good for inside or out! Easily wash them in some hot water and use them for both. The different textures and colors are sure to keep the baby interested. Watering CanWe are big gardeners around here so this is one gift I’m super excited about. I can’t wait until she can “water the plants” with me. It’ll be fun for her and good for my plants so that is a win-win in my book.Garden ToolsThe toddler rakes and shovels are super cute but they are just too big for this age group. I know that she isn’t ready for those but these little hand tools would be perfect to set her down and let her dig in the dirt. Gardening will be more exciting with small hands to help (and probably a little more time consuming too but that’s okay). Outdoor SwingIf you only have one baby, you’re probably wondering if it’s worth it to get a swingset. We are thinking about it but we also know that right now she’s probably not going to get much use out of it. This is an easy way to get them some of that fun without all of the money right now. Plus, it’s great if you have a smaller yard, too. Outdoor SlideI was initially thinking of one of those Little Tyke’s slides that we all had as kids. However, after doing some research I like this one a lot more! Not only does it fold up to save space and to keep it safe during inclement weather but it also is more than just a slide! It has a couple additional activities for when kids get a little older so it’s more able to grow with them. Easter BookOf course I’m going to recommend a book because they are so good for kids and I truly believe that no holiday is complete unless the child gets more books. We love building a little library for our girl and I’m so excited to add this one to it. The link is for a new one but I will always encourage checking thriftbooks first to find a used copy and save yourself some money. I have no affiliation with them but I like the premise of used books more than new ones.SandalsThis is a great opportunity to get some summer essentials for your babe without feeling guilty about spending so much money on them. My mom always used this as an occasion to get us a couple summer outfits and our summer shoes, so of course I’m going to include those too! I highly recommend making sure you are buying shoes with wide toe boxes and flexible soles to help you kid’s feet develop as well as possible. These knees seem to fit well and are even advertised as barefoot, which is great!Summer OutfitsAs I mentioned, this is a good opportunity to stock up on some summer essentials. This linen romper is not only adorable but will be a great lightweight piece to add to your baby’s wardrobe and it works for both girls and boys, too!Sun HatI’m firmly against sunglasses and sunscreen (they block essential sun rays that we actually need and sunscreen is filled with toxic junk, but that’s another story for another day), which is why I recommend a good sun hat for babies! This cotton hat protects both their neck and face, which are two very vulnerable places. Plus, I think it’s cute! Swim DiaperYou can definitely grab a swim suit too but I highly recommend checking out the reusable swim diapers. Keep the chemical filled disposable ones away from your sweet angel’s nether region. With lots of cute patterns these will match with a top for girls or even be enough for your boy to wear on its own. Plus, it will save you money because you can use it as many times as you want. If you have a pool and a budget like us, that’s so so important!Bubble MachineBabies and bubbles are HILARIOUS. We love a good bubble machine and how much they can make babies laugh. It’s definitely a cheaper option for their Easter basket and still tons of fun. Plus, it’s good for infants too because they can also watch the bubbles and get a good experience with it.Teether We have to have a couple things on the list that are actually Easter themed and this teether definitely fits. It’s super cute and can also be just farm themed too so it’s usable all the time. Sidewalk ChalkOkay, this one may be borderline. You’ll definitely want to make sure the baby is closer to a year old than a new baby for this one. This sidewalk chalk is in holder to help them learn how to use it and play with it without breaking it into tiny pieces. Plus it helps cut some of the mess from the small creatures who seem to find all messes everywhere. In Summary: Easter Gift Ideas 1 & UnderI want to emphasize that there is no need to buy all of these or even half of them. We will likely do one larger gift like the outdoor swing and a couple smaller gifts like the textured balls and books. My mom always put some candy in our easter baskets too but since they are so little there is no need for candy. This is honestly one tradition that I probably won’t carry on either because the last thing we need is more artificial sweets. If I do give her candy, it’ll likely be ordered from the natural candy store because they have so many better-for-you options. What do you put in your kid’s Easter baskets? Is it similar to what you got in your basket as a kid?Share Gift Guides eastergift guide
